The REST centre opens 19 June 2017

The REST (Rehabilitation, Education, Support & Treatment) Centre, led by The Whitechapel Centre, provides a safe space for entrenched street drinkers and  aims to tackle the crime and anti-social behaviour related to street drinking in Liverpool while at the same time offering support and treatment to those attending. The centre runs from 19 June to 20 October 2017.

The Centre will be located on Fraser Street, Liverpool, L3 8JX . Opening times are from 12 noon to 9 pm, seven days per week.

The REST Centre offers a safe space for drinking, as well as providing intensive support and advice to help people begin to address their substance use, health issues and accommodation problems. There is on site health and treatment services and support from:
Addaction: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 1.30pm -4pm
Addaction nurses: Friday 1.30pm – 4pm
Alcohol Nurses from Brownlow Group Practice: Tuesday 1pm – 3pm
Homeless Mental Health Team: Thursdays from 12.00 midday every fortnight.

A timetable of fun, engaging and motivational activities will also take place daily.
